Frankly, I am with you. I see all my friends list bursting with best wishes and hopes for the future, and I am glad for them if they really feel like that, but... >sigh<. 2008 has been an absolute nightmare - it is symptomatic that I have not finished a single HP fic, historical essay, or poem - and to be honest, I see little enough to hope from in 2009.
