Wondering where the day has gone, so fast, even with the additional hour.

Had an inanely stupid evening yesterday with two sort-of-kind-of-still-friends, acquaintances, whatever... frustrated, disillusioned ex-academics all of us, not pretty. Board games (! - God!) bore me; I mostly can't be bothered to remember the rules and I'm not competitive at all. :: sigh :: Anything for an intelligent conversation - something other than just rehashing one's personal frustration. It's pointless and petty and taints one's perspective of everything. I have this sinking feeling my intellectual horizon is shrinking daily, mind dulled by all this lack of... anything inspirational.



Watching Smallville is like watching a train wreck in the making... the train in question may be Disney style gaudily painted, but you know there's going to be plenty of blood nevertheless... Now I don't believe that friendship necessarily entitles you to the other person's every secret or even total honesty, and Clark has really every reason not to tell Lex, except it's exactly the wrong thing to do. And quite possibly too late to rectify already. Somewhat depressing, in a morbidly fascinating way.



It's disgustingly cold for the season.
