Jan. 8th, 2010 08:24 pmLeft most of my hair at the hairdresser today. It's barely chin-length now, which is shorter than I had it since primary school. Liked it when I left, less so after it got snowed upon (twice), but we'll see how it looks after washing out all they styling & products. In any case I like the fact that it's short. Over the holidays I was tempted to just take the scissors and cut it all off, off, off.
Going through BSG at an utterly embarrassing speed, because what I mostly want to do is go back and rewatch DW and maybe write something about that, although other than with TW I suspect I wouldn't be able to come up with something that hasn't been written before, and better, too, so I'm not so sure this is really such a good idea. But before I do that I need to find out who the last cylon is. *sigh* (I'd rather appreciate the irony if it were Roslin. Right now Kara seems too obvious a choice, and the Adamas seem to be out because they're related; Baltar is of course still a possibility, but if it's him I'm going to cry, and all the other characters seem too minor for the big reveal... ETA: No spoilers, please!) un_crayon_rouge, definitely warming up (*g*), but that final click still isn't there, and I'm wondering why. The show has all the things I usually like, mythology, overreaching arcs, moral dilemmas, drama, it's visually beautiful and well made, but I'm not feeling the love as much as I thought I would. Or think I should, given all those factors. Why do some stories resonate, while others don't? Why Torchwood, but not Being Human? Babylon 5, but not Farscape? The brain, she is a strange thing.
