Whee! I'm updating from my new iMac, which is big, shiny, fast and generally awesome. No browser crashing, no error or not-enough-storage messages... I unpacked & set it up yesterday, but the internet wouldn't connect, because as it turned out my provider needed to fix some technical stuff first, seeing as it is a new computer.

On the side of not-so-shininess, or more precisely, sheer, abject terror, tooth ache. And of course my dentist, whom I've begun to trust, or at least get used to, after all the treatment last winter is on vacation and now I need to go to another one. ::panic:: How is it fair that I suddenly get tooth ache just before I go on holiday when it's only been half a year since my last visit and (cross my heart) I'd planned on making an appointment after I return anyway? ::panic::

Bike brought to the shop for much needed, but extensive & expensive repair. ::sigh:: I'm spending too much money at the moment.

Teeth are okay, the pain is due to an inflammation of the gums, which apparently is yet another side effect of the stomach thing and/or antibiotics having messed up my immune system. And the new cavity that is unrelated to the pain and doesn't bother me even when the dentist poked and tapped the tooth can by fixed by my dentist post-holiday.

And now I need to start cleaning the apartment. To reiterate, ::sigh::

ETA: Wow. While I love my new Mac, it's almost too easy to use -- it took me about five minutes to figure out how to download a file, searching with increasing frustration for some button, or combination of buttons on my mouse to make a 'download to' window appear, when all I had to do is drag the link into into the 'downloads' window. This takes some getting used to...
