Jun. 3rd, 2006 04:52 pmSloppy, sloppy, sloppy.
The last one and a half weeks, fast forwarded.
Monday (22nd): Nothing of importance happened. That I remember, anyway. Managed a morning run.
Tuesday: On the plus side, apparently I'm not to die just yet, the results of the blood test were mostly fine, although vaguely pointing at some kind of inflammation somewhere. Which isn't exactly surprising since the nausea still hasn't gone away. Hence, on the not-so-plus side, gastroscopy. And on the side of further annoyance, the doctor I have been referred to for this is on vacation until the beginning of June. I hate how this thing drags on and on and on for entirely too long now; the worrying is beginning to occupy too large a part of my mind for too much time.
Wednesday: Horse, the usual Wednesday routine. Evening run for a change. Upset my stomach by drinking what apparently was the wrong tea, or something else, although the tea, being a new acquisition, is the prime candidate, and it's been rather iffy ever since. Oh joy.
Thursday: Public holiday, thanks to living in a catholic country. Drove to Schlosshof, which was nice (the recent batch of pictures is from there), not much to see in the Schloss itself, which had suffered pretty badly during the war, everything looking very newly restored, but a beautiful park, cute Noriker foals, camels, &c. Then ended up aimlessly driving around for a while, window down, RHCP from the stereo and it's probably hard to get more clicheed than that, except I was doing it in the Marchfeld, not on some American highway. And because it was too nice a day apparently, I got stopped by the police and was fined € 15.- for driving without the headlights on. Pathetic thing is, I'd almost always turned on the headlights until it became mandatory. Since then I've become a little contrary about the whys and wherefores of being forced to have the lights on in bright sunshine, and I might have mentioned at time or the other that I'm not very good at following rules, and that I choose the worst, and really most inopportune occasions for my pseudo baby-rebellions. Also it turned out the windscreen wipers were sort-of broken, moving at the speed of a half-dead snail only. Hence,
Friday: Car to the mechanic before work. Sigh.
Got lured into watching The Da Vinci Code, because U. asked whether I wanted to come and watch it with the people from the Neubaugasse shop, and since i couldn't think of a polite way to decline that didn't make me come off as arrogant and elitist and what not... I agreed, god help me. The only... right, plus side would be an exaggeration, but it would have definitely sucked more, if the ticket hadn't been a birthday gift.
Plus, the preview for PotC 2 kinda sucked, too. Doesn't mean I still won't probably go to see it, but still.
Sunday: Enjoyable afternoon with my sister and her boyfriend, birthday cake, four games of Siedler von Catan, one of which I even won, brain-storming names for the baby.
Monday (29th): same as last Monday.
Tuesday: Got up at some unholy hour yet again to fetch the car before work. Frantic cleaning, because, Thermenservice, and my flat being as tiny as it is, I can't just clean the kitchen and shut the door on the rest of the mess, because on his way to the kitchen the service person has to cross the rest of the mess, which therefore should be as unmessy as possible. He's also exposed to the full extent of my nerdiness, but there's little that can be done about that.
Wednesday: Payed € 120.- for having my hot water/heating whatever you call that thing checked; called M., who'd been sick on Tuesday, but is even more
Thursday and Friday were uneventful except in minor work related annoyances.
More inspired entry to follow. Eventually. Hopefully.
