Jan. 16th, 2005 06:24 pmHad a three hour walk that took me from the sixth district to the Arsenal (on of the more attractive flights of fancy of historistic architecture, with a distinctly oriental air, especially in the late afternoon light), the St. Marx cemetery (yet another place I've never been before) and the Belvedere gardens (lovely at dusk).
Feeling better, a little tired, but generally relaxed.

Jan. 16th, 2005 09:30 pmSo here I am, browsing through digital cameras on amazon and other sites, reading customer reviews, trying to get an idea of what's important, & so on, & so forth, because today was another of those days where I wished I had a camera ...
... and, whoa!, apparently I've been living in computer stone-age for some time now without even realising it. I've a five year old iMac that still runs on OS9. I have a zip drive, which was quite a cool thing back then.
I gather that if I buy a camera I'll need a card reader, because I won't be able to install the camera software on OS9... and I only know what a card reader is, because M.'s boyfriend recently gave me some basic information about digital cameras and stuff. I know about usb drives because my sister mentioned them in passing.
::facepalm::
When did all this happen and under what rock have I been living at that time?!
Methinks I see a new mac in the not-so-remote future
