This is the third time this week I drag myself out of bed at six for a morning run and promptly it starts to rain. Pour.

Somebody up there apparently doesn't appreciate my attempts to be a little more fit...

Gah. IKEA & other furniture stores visit. *headdesk* My non-materialist zen flies right out of the window, and my mind switches into must have mode, followed by, can't have, because not enough money, more importantly, too small a flat, no money for large flat, why haven't I got a better paid job, wah, my life sucks &c.. Fascinating really. It helps when you're actually aware and see it happening, but still... Only bought the storage boxes I set out to buy, and not enough of them either, and (finally) a lampshade after four years without one. And a hook for my kitchen towel. Considered a TV table and decided to replace the curtain rods and get white curtains instead of the blue ones sometime this summer.

Put my uni/diss things into boxes and hauled them on top of the wardrobe, not even feeling very bitter about it.

Took apart my bookshelves, to see how the potential TV table for the equally potential TV would fit (nicely), rebuilt part of it, but have now books, shelves & assorted other stuff strewn all across the floor, flat looking like a disaster area.

At which point it seemed like a good idea to turn my back on the whole mess, switch on the computer and whine on lj.

I think I'll go to bed now.
