still no HP. i'm seriously considering some unforgivable curses here. there's the satisfaction that i'm paying € 9.- less than i'd have payed at the British Bookshop, but i hardly dare go *anywhere* on the internet any longer.


ETA: fuckfuckfuck they have it for 16.50 at Morowa anyway. *now* i really hate amazon. this has to be false advertising or something.

still no... er. moving on.

had my hair cut, it's now *short* (finally!), kinda fluffy, a bit irregular, but rather interesting... never had it like that before. it badly needs dying now, though.

since much of the internet is still off limits because of my ongoing quest to avoid HP spoilers, i got bored enough to write a letter to the editor concerning an article about hp fan fiction in general and slash ( "sl*** " ) in particular. slash of course being defined as porn (badly written porn, at that), angsty, goth & bdsm focused and generally the incarnation of evil, lurking on the internet, ready to jump on any innocent and unsuspecting hp fan. coming from an otherwise leftish liberal and most of the times intelligent magazine this is rather sad, not to mention ill-researched.

this discussion about the evils of slash is really redundant, not to mention hypocritical. every slash site (especially the hp ones) has a zillion warnings, every story is rated, and, please, there isn't anything in hp slash that those children can't see the heterosexual variety of when they turn on the tv. plus, it's reading, right? line by line. nothing that stops you from closing the browser window any time you even start getting uncomfortable.

this is about the adults, not the children. just call it homophobia and at least be honest.
