Another one from yesterday, unintentional but kind of interesting blurriness because the lens was fogged after coming in from out of the cold.

(Talking with the camera. By montnoir@, and I guess I really shouldn't have stolen that since he did this thing where you're not supposed to be able to download his pictures at all, but seeing as it's a picture of me, I don't feel too guilty. My nose looks weirder than it usually does, but I like how my eyes are laughing.)

I really like that first one of you. I'm the very same way about photos of myself, though... if I know I'm being photographed, I invariably look awful, but the more candid shots sometimes work.

I don't know if I'll still be at my mother's for New Year's or not, but if I come back to Ohio in time for New Year's, I might. . . might attempt the Sachertorte. Yummmmmm...

Especially in the first one, you look not only intelligent and animated, but even rather pretty. The first photograph, the once above the lj-cut, is an absolutely startlying study in direct light.
