This is a remarkable piece of work. Have you ever had your photos exhibited? You are good enough (and I know something about the art of photography: my father was an amateur photographer and I grew up in a house lined with photographic magazines).
I haven't, so far, although I'll admit I've entertained the thought of trying that at some point - but I've only bought the DSLR less than a year ago and so much of what I'm doing with it is still trial and error, hit or miss; I kind of (maybe over-self-consciously) think I should actually know what I'm doing a bit better before I attempt to go public beyond flickr and livejournal.
But thank you for the reassurance; sometimes I love the pictures, or at least some of them, sometimes I'm absolutely convinced they're no good at all; it's hard for me to be objective about them.

Thank you! Original, not edited at all - the camera setting was on black and white with maximum contrast, and it's a bit underexposed, if I remember correctly.
