I think I may have been watching too much figure skating recently... I actually recognise the Russian national anthem.


[Not a spoiler for the pairs' final result, btw, but a propos some other event on tv.]




Oh wait, it was. I'm not going to wax all poetic because that's not really my style, but that's a kind of beauty and perfection that shouldn't be humanly possible. Except that it is.


Silver... ah well. But who's going to dare argue (much)?

[Also, who designed these medals? More importantly, who okay'd them in the mistaken assumption they were in any way aesthetically pleasing? Weren't Italians supposed to have good taste?]
