Got a lovely (Not-)Christmas card from soavezefiretto [Thank you so much!], which really makes me feel embarrassed for my own, and why am I so horribly inadequate with words, and always end up with vague platitudes? ::head-desk:: Anyway, it's about a week to late to do anything about it, so (please?) ignore the blah-ish card and enjoy (hopefully) the rest?!

In other, less pleasant news, tried to make Schokoladetrüffel as a Christmas present for M. and thought it might be a good idea to replace the normal cooking chocolate with a 70% Lindt dark chocolate. Looked fine until I added the egg-yolks, when everything came apart, there's no other word for it. A total, irreparable mess. After a fit of despair & frustration finally added a little more butter and sugar, another egg and flour and ended up with a somewhat strange cake-like mess, because I couldn't bring myself to throw away 200g of Lindt chocolate.

Note to self, do not mess with traditional family recipes, and, please, do not attempt to be creative while cooking, you're not talented enough for it.

*sigh*

My back hurts, my nerves are beginning to fray and the universe apparently has decided to hate me.

Going to take a hot bath, and then to bed.

*blush* Glad you enjoyed. I feel so strange writing Christmas cards, because it's not like I actually believe, and yet I want to reach out, and this is as good a time as any to write to people and say stuff like "hey, nice being your friend and have a nice year" and all that, and then I automatically end up writing "merry Christmas", args! Anway: you're welcome. And something's my way, w000t!! :-)
