Actually the apple trees where Ch. keeps her horse looked something like this today, bare, with only a few fruit left; less picturesque - no snow and the apples yellow instead of red, but pretty nevertheless. (And a paddock full of expectant horses waiting for them to fall and hopefully roll in their direction...)
