Ha. Some guy thinks he recognises Osama Bin Laden in the street and tries to run him over with his car. In the southern French town of Montpellier, no less. No one got hurt, so I'm allowed to be amused. Otherwise, of course the current situation sucks in every possible way. I was feeling very ambivalent about the French decision about Muslim women's headscarves, but now of course every way of ever going back on it or even modifying it has effectively been barred with the threat of terror. Stupid.


Might slightly revise my opinion about tool's Aenima. H., Forty Six and 2 and Jimmy are achingly beautiful. However, strike Message to Harry Manback (the point?), strike Hooker With A Penis, for the sheer whiny self-indulgence (Granted, the type of fan is annoying, but actually write a song about it?! Please.). Intermission, annyoing to listen to more than once. Die Eier von Satan, ditto, because when you speak German the joke's very much lost on you, in really painful ways. I guess there must be a point to Cesaro Summability, (-) Ions and Third Eye edit, but they don't do much for me either way.

Lateralus is so much better IMHO because it's more focused, less pretentiously artsy and the negativity/bitchiness toned down and basically limited to Ticks and Leeches...
