My German brain is linguistically confused. Listening to Italian opera & reading an English text online...eh.

I've really grown to love Don Giovanni - I only wish I were less ignorant about classical music in general. I don't even know where to start - or go on. I guess I could get another Mozart CD? But which one?
And I rather resent it if I cannot talk about a work of art I appreciate, because I lack even the most basic information and vocabulary.
