Dec. 16th, 2006 10:47 pmHmpf. My mouse refuses to scroll down as of yesterday. I tried the wet cloth (which used to work before), I tried alcohol, to no avail. This seems to be so common a problem that google turned up various step-by-step complete-with-pictures tutorials for taking apart and cleaning it, but before I try that and risk breaking anything I'll attempt to return it to the shop and have it exchanged, because it's been what? five months? A bit early for things to start breaking down.
I love my Mac, but if this is going to be a problem every half year of so, I'm not pleased. If this thing needs to be cleaned at regular intervals, then they should design it in a way that it can actually be opened and cleaned easily and without risk of permanent damage.
Also, am I the only person to actually like the new update page? If nothing else, the font in the entry box is actually readable instead of squint-at-screen tiny. The spell check page is prettier, too.
