Oct. 27th, 2004 03:37 pmI like autumn... the change between brilliantly sunny days and melancholy and mysterious foggy ones; those days when almost suddenly the leaves turn and trees are blazing with colour: brief moments of fragile, fleeting beauty, easily destroyed by any stronger gust of wind...
I like seasons of change, perhaps because so little changes in my life, but spring is too high-key, too full of tensions and expectations for my taste. Autumn has a sense of fulfillment, of closure; and then, nature slowly stripped down to its essentials, there's beauty in that, too.
