(no subject)

Lazy day, feeling pleasantly relaxed, baked a Gugelhupf and ate too much of it, but don't feel particularly guilty, maybe because of the stress of the last few weeks, maybe because it turned out just perfect, fluffy, light, delicious.

Finished TM's 1933/34 diaries, read a little further in Donald Windham's The Dog Star, which is... kind of, alien, but stark and beautifully written, started with Patrick O'Brian's Master and Commander, which so far is a delightful read, and, I might add, every bit as slashy as everyone says, even though that wasn't the reason I bought it.
