I hope it doesn't completely ruin the mood of the picture if I say that the silhouette effect is a mixture of back light (it was cloudy, but the clouds weren't that thick yet), underexposure, and a heightened contrast setting in the black and white mode of my camera; the picture was taken in the afternoon, between the second and the third picture posted in this entry (http://solitary-summer.livejournal.com/608779.html).
