and I still associate the slightly giddy New Torchwood, finally!!! feeling with the opening scene of KKBB and 'Excuse me, have you seen a blowfish driving a sports car?' Good times... And I know exactly how you feel. I watched S1 because it'd tie in with DW, but it was so bleak, and so uneven, and had so many unanswered questions that I never really took to it (apart from Jack/Ianto because they were so delightfully messed up, and the show in their case managed to do subtle). But by the time S2 came round we'd had all the exposition during Jack's guest stint on DW, and there was James Masters guest starring and I realised that actually I was very very fond of my silly little show. And KKBB didn't disappoint in the least! :)
