[Should have been on [livejournal.com profile] pixelwhores yesterday, which I'm shamefully neglecting, since my workdays are so boring and full of sameness, but at least I'm not the only one... -- anyway. Fell asleep before I could download and post it. Long day - got a haircut, turned in my old modem and got a new one because the provider is switching, plugged it in and discovered that to my surprise it actually worked without further problems and endless phone conversations with the help-line, shopped for groceries, had lunch, biked to the Gänsehäufel, swam (water was cool after last week, but refreshing), took pictures of my aunt in her 100+ years old bathing costume, swam, biked home, had a bit of dinner, more or less dropped down asleep.]

Temperatures have gone up to 35+ degrees today, and will remain there for the whole next week (::groan::), so I hid inside, blinds drawn to retain the coolness as long as possible, doing a bit of belly-dancing practice and reading Doctor Shiwago, an odd and beautiful beautiful novel, abrupt, almost brusque at times, with surprising outbursts of poetry, especially in the descriptions. Still insanely tired; I blame the weather.

Die Fenster dieser Etage füllten sich vom Tag der Wintersonnenwende an überreichlich mit hellblauem Himmel, wie ein Fluss mit Hochwasser.

How beautiful is that?

That is FUCKING beautiful, that's how. (Sorry, it seems I'm swearing a lot lately...) What is that, Dr. Shiwago? I do remember loving it in spite of not understanding almost anything...

Also, lovelovelove that bathing suit, oh my :-) And yes, what is it with the neglecting of pxhos? I guess we've all been under the weather...

It is - it's interesting, because often it's so abrupt and factual, brief, blunt sentences, and then suddenly there are breathtakingly beautiful descriptions like that...

The heat takes away all my energy. and this kind of suspended-on-sms probably-not thing with the guy in Cyprus got me a little distracted and nervous...

Well, if there are sms it's definitely a thing - an sms-thing, maybe, but a thing :-) You do understand that ich sitze auf heissen Kohlen hier, waiting for you to tell something about the thing, otoh I don't want to pry and I really don't want you to feel like there's an obligation or anything... Never mind me, I guess you'll tell when you'll tell, and I'll be here.
