I was in Berlin a couple of years later, but it was only a brief university trip and most of it was spent in museums or a Stundentenheim in the middle of not really anywhere in former East Berlin; I don't think anyone got much of a nightlife; I certainly didn't. So I don't have all that many memories from that either, except people selling lots of Red Army memorabilia, and pieces of the wall...
