(And if the next CD really consists only of songs from musicals, I'm not complaining either, because most of the pop stuff he does is 1) really not my cup of tea, and 2) IMO doesn't really suit his voice and style either.)

I agree with this. I love his voice and he emotes beautifully, but his original pop stuff... urgh. I really like his covers of ballads though "All by myself" sung by him is awesome, as is "Your Song" and "You're so Vain".

I haven't watched the interview yet, and am wary. I'm not keen on TW S4... :(
