Too hot. Is it really necessary for temperatures to go right up into the 30ies immediately?
Still no DVDs. ::taps fingers::
Meanwhile, finally finished Band of Brothers yesterday so that I can return it, & overall it wasn't too bad. Well done, maybe a bit too well, occasionally almost too pretty, too smooth, even during the worst combat scenes you never can quite shake off the sense of something arranged for the best effect. Too calculated, the emotional string-pulling too blatantly obvious to be truly touching most of the time. But on the other hand I liked Winters, mostly because he was the most identifiable one, but also because I have a thing for redheads, regardless of gender, and apparently I have a thing for uniforms, too. And I refuse to mentally beat myself up for noticing the slash, because the Winters/Nixon thing was *so* there, especially in the last episode.
Birthday flowers are drooping and dropping petals already, sometimes in sudden showers triggered by a movement, or a noise even, scattered, in stark contrast to the blue tiles of the table, and if one were poetically minded one could come up with all kinds of metaphors about crimson (well, purple) pools, and moralise about the fleetingness of time, and, well. 33 and five days.
Some Indian movie on tv that started out as a political/action/thriller thing complete with slow-motion fight scenes lifted from The Matrix, a little family drama, then had some random singing and dancing, and now seems to be mostly a comedy. More singing and dancing. Weird.
